How do you light up a room? Do you tell funny stories? Or are you a great listener? Your presence is your present.
I focus on three ways I can give the gift of my presence this season: showing up, maintaining my energy and gift giving.
Together, we can be sure that you are ready to make the most of the holiday season!
Friends and family throw parties at this time of year because it is the season for celebrating with the people you love.
I’m a big fan of parties and dressing up for them is one of my favorite things to do!
How does this feel for you? Do you have lovely outfits you love to wear for this season of celebration so you can say YES to the invitations that come your way?
Action Item: Set aside some time before the season starts to style or shop for outfits that make you feel great.
Maintain Your Energy.
All these late nights can take a toll on you.
I use the coffee-napitation (espresso + 20-minute nap + meditation) technique to rest & restore quickly. It takes 20 minutes for the caffeine to hit your system, so the timing is magical!
What kinds of things do you do to keep up your energy during a busy season?
Action Item: Schedule R&R into your calendar so you can bring your best self to every event.
Give Your Gifts.
When it comes to gift-giving, you may love it or you may find it excruciating. Did you know that it’s one of the 5 love languages?
I love giving historical fiction set in a certain locale to my mother-in-law. She loves to read historical fiction and travel is her favorite thing. I was a Lit major at Cornell and am an avid reader myself, so it’s one of the ways we connect.
What could make gift-giving a joy for you?
Action Item: Make it easy on yourself (and others) by giving gift cards or take a deep dive by setting aside time to make or find the right gift for your loved ones.
