THE OUTFIT: STRUCTURED JACKET + COTTON TEE + TROUSER JEANS

Olatz has some great jackets, but needs base layer tees & fabulous jeans to anchor these looks. Even though the seasons are changing, great jeans are going to work almost all year 'round, so it makes sense to invest in two pairs of really flattering jeans. You can wear the jeans 2-3 times and just rotate the tops.

BUDGET: ($300)

two pairs jeans: dark denim ($200)
base layer tops to go under jackets: buy 3 3/4 length slv and/or 3 short sleeve ($100-$200)
Once jeans have been purchased, give away the black pants with narrow ankle

THE LONG SLEEVE or 3/4 SLEEVE TEE

LEO & SAGE TEE (ON SALE $24): Beautiful 3/4 tee with ruching at the bust and wide neckband to emphasize your shoulder line. 3/4 sleeves visually shorten the torso, giving you a long and lean look. Easy fit floats over your mid-section. Try in wine or purple to go with your grey jacket.

DESIGN HISTORY BUBBLE TEE (ON SALE $32): Beautiful 3/4 tee with ruching at the bust and wide scoopneck to emphasize your shoulder line. Easy fit floats over your mid-section. Try in white or plum to soften the motorcross jacket.

THE JEAN ($108): Fabulous stretch denim trouser jeans from Not Your Daughter's Jeans. Front coin pockets and welt pockets in the rear keep the look trim, long and lean, calling no attention to your mid-section. Wide leg balances hips, emphasizes waist. Clean lines of the jeans create an overall long & lean appearance. Stretch jeans with criss-cross interior at mid-section to flatten the waist and lift the rear. If they fit, get them hemmed at a tailor to go with your boots.

BANANA SQUARE-NECK TEE (ON SALE $26): Square-neck with shirring and soft puff sleeve brings attention to your shoulder line. Wear this silhouette under the belted jacket and tucked into your pant for texture. Easy fit floats over your mid-section. Available in three colors. Misses and Petite sizes. Try in blue puddle or red to go with the tan or white long jackets.

OLD NAVY TEE (2 or MORE $12 EA): Perfect tee. Ruching at the bust and deep vee enhance your shoulder line and provide a pop of color under your jackets. Easy fit floats over your mid-section. Try in danube blue in to go with your tan striped jacket, lime rickey to go with your black jacket and clean green to wear with your green/black jacket.

HALOGEN JEANS (ON SALE $45): Similar styling to the jeans on the left without the interior criss-cross structuring. Front slant pockets and button-tab keep the look slim. If these fit well, buy two pairs and get one hemmed for your boots and the other pair hemmed to go with your flats.

OLD NAVY JEANS (ON SALE $13): Trouser jeans from Old Navy. Welt pocket reduces visual interest at waist in front, patch pockets boost curve on your bum. These are available in a short inseam, so you may not even need to hem them!
