DailyOutfit Aimee's Spring Cleaning: The Shopping List

Aimee has a great collection of dresses, but needs some pieces to round out her wardrobe.

WORK OUTFIT: To combine comfort and style under her doctor's coat, Aimee's new work outfit should have beauiful color and prints, soft knit layers without a lot of volume or embellishment plus a pair of comfortable but gorgeous shoes.
NEEDS LIST: Two great bras, a shaping slip for her dresses, a tee to match a great BCBG skirt, and a bag for snacks, etc. to take to the playground on the weekend.
AFTER-WORK OUTFIT: All Aimee wants to do is change into something comfy at the end of the day. But since this is her quality time with her husband and kids, I want her to look & feel cute.

WORK OUTFIT:

MICHEAL MICHEAL KORS SCOOPNECK TOP ($40): Beautiful paisley print contains all of Aimee's favorite colors. Scoopneck and gentle pleats at the bust strengthen Aimee's shoulder line and camo her mid-section. Banded hem emphasizes the hip line. Petite sizes PP-PL. Pink/orange print only.

BODEN STENCIL PRINT TOP ($68): Gorgeous top from Boden is a bit on the pricey side, but the print and shaping is so perfect for Aimee. Scalloped edging on the scoopneck, with gentle gathers at the bust and a cap sleeve all conspire to strengthen her shoulder and bust line. Easy fit over the mid-section camos her belly. Available in four strong colors for Spring. We love it in pink for Aimee. Misses sizes 2-18.

BODEN EMPIRE-WAIST CARDIGAN ($98): The office cardigan is a key piece of your wardrobe. Go for a bold color and shapely silhouette so that it adds an special layer to your outfit. Misses sizes 2-18. Four colors available. We recommend yellow for Aimee for a soft pairing with the top above.

NOT YOUR DAUGHTER'S TROUSERS ($98): Flattens the tummy, with a smooth line. Machine washable; great for travel. Available in four colors. Petite and Misses sizes 0-18. For Spring, I love these trousers for Aimee in Navy.

BORN LOVELY FLATS ($85): The color and flower detailing make this shoe from Born a fun statement for Spring without sacrificing comfort. For Aimee, I love the yellow or pink to pick up the prints in the tops. Misses sizes 6M-12M. Available in four colors plus silver metallic.

NEEDS LIST:

THE ESSENTIAL TEE SHIRT BRA ($68): This bra from Chantelle works under sweaters, tees and silk blouses -- any top that is sheer enough to show any detailing on a bra. Because all of Aimee's clothing is stretchy to maximize comfort, she needs a soft, molded cup with an underwire. This bra is available in 30C-40D in white, beige or black. Amazing support and wonderful shape. Aimee needs one beige and two black bras to start.

YUMMIE TUMMIE SHAPING SLIP ($96): It's hard to imagine spending as much on your slip as you would on a dress, but for Aimee this piece is essential. It will shape her mid-section and smooth out her line under all her dresses, while boosting her bust. Misses sizes S-XL in beige or black. Because Aimee's dresses are all dark, black is the best bet for her.

INC ROSETTE-TRIM TEE (ON SALE $30): Aimee loves black tees, so here's one that is a great upgrade to her current look. The rosettes on the front provide texture, the puff sleeves add dimension to her shoulder and faux-wrap surplice neckline create a bust and waistline for her. The hip-length is perfect to wear over skirts or trousers. For Aimee, we're pairing it with a straight black jersey skirt from BCBG. Sale item; sizes will vary. Black only.

O'NEILL WEEKEND BAG ($42): Aimee doesn't use a purse during the week, but needs a bag to carry snacks, etc. for taking the kids to the playground. This bold print will spice up any casual outfit and belies its utilitarian purpose.

OLD NAVY HOODIE ($20): Loungewear should be cute, but it doesn't have to be expensive! Old Navy has the sizes and the right price. Large patch pocket camos belly. Misses, Petite and Plus sizes in 8 colors. We love the brown or navy for Aimee.

OLD NAVY LOUNGE PANTS ($16): Comfy matching pants complete this look. Petite, Misses and Plus sizes available in 9 colors.
